Shane grew up in Geelong, Australia where he spent his childhood building classic cars with his Dad, riding motorbikes and spending summers with Grandparents at the beach. “The ocean is like therapy for me and this is what led me to becoming a qualified rescue diver.”

As a young wayfinder, tragedy struck him in the loss of four of his closest friends. “The loss I endured served as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life, inspiring me to seize opportunities and follow my passion for joinery introduced to me by my Grandfather.”

Jessica grew up in the small beachside town of Paihia, located in the Bay of Islands. Coming from the prominant Brittain fishing Family, its no wonder she also has a deep connection to the ocean. The profound beauty of her surroundings throughout her childhood has undoubtedly influenced her design aesthetic, reflecting a deep-rooted love for nature in every piece she creates.

“Finding a connection to the environment, whether through immersing myself in nature, mediation or engaging with people serves as a profound source of inspiration. The task at hand then becomes deciphering the steps needed to materialsise this vision into a reality.”
